The main differences between the 2022 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid and the Sonata Hybrid include price, performance capabilities, fuel economy, and interior and exterior features. While the Elantra Hybrid has one less configuration, it costs less and offers better fuel economy. However, the Sonata Hybrid has slightly better performance.
Both Hyundai Hybrids come standard with a single powertrain option across all of their trims that offer reliability, power, and efficiency. Both hybrids were awarded a 5-star safety rating from the NHTSA, but they have not yet been rated or reviewed by the IIHS.
