The new 2021 Hyundai Tucson comes equipped with the lightweight 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine with 161 horsepower or is also available with Hyundai’s 2.4-liter inline 4-cylinder with 181 horsepower. Both engines are paired with Hyundai’s 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe line offers drivers larger engine offerings including a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 191 horsepower, a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with 277 horsepower, and a new hybrid engine available in 2021. Unlike the 2021 Tucson, the 2021 Santa Fe pairs its engines with an 8-speed automatic transmission for smoother shifting. Both the Tucson and Santa Fe come standard with front-wheel drive but drivers have the ability to upgrade to all-wheel drive.
